Glynn Burrows gives an insight into how Parliamentary records can help with family history.

16th March;

Questions from members and possible solutions from the group on how to get beyond the brick wall!

20th April;

Members share their experiences on the work involved producing books pamphlets relating to family and local history.

18th May;

A visit to the village of Castle Acre and its Castle.

15th June;

Beginning your Family History with Debbie Bradley (The basic facts to help you get your research underway. Especially helpful to all those beginners wondering where’s the best place to start)

20th July;

Visit to St. Andrews Church Bradenham Looking at life of the villagers in the mid–late 19th cent. – Margaret Bohn

17th August;

Using Newspapers in Your Research. – Presented by Steve Manning

21st September;

2021 AGM followed by a talk by Iona Folliard, and her research into Norfolk Schools

19th October;

Our families experience in WW1 and WW2. Contributions from members

16th November;

An evening with James(Jimmy) Stewart and hearing about his time in Norfolk during WW2. – Presented by Greg Powles

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (except December) in the church hall behind Trinity Methodist Church, Theatre Street, Dereham NR19 2EP, at 7.30pm, usually with a speaker followed by tea/coffee and an update on family history news. New members and visitors are always welcome.
